June 1, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Transport Agency (BNA) has announced a tender procedure.

BNA reports that the contest was announced for carriages by bus routes #20 and #94.

"As a result of a complex analysis, it was found out that operation of those bus routes by different carriers and time concurrency of movement of both bus routes leads to traffic jams on roads, and their bus drivers often became the cause of severe road accidents. Agency’s hotline has repeatedly received complaints from bus passengers about the violation of the rules of conduct by drivers," BNA informed.

In order to prevent such problems, the Agency decided to unite both bus routes and transfer to one carrier for operation.

"For participation in the tender the carrier needs 35 buses with minimum capacity of 75 passengers and 24 seats. The buses will leave at 5:30 am and operate till 23:59. A list of documents for participation in the tender is posted on the Agency's website (www.bna.az) until 5 June," BNA said in a statement.
