September 21, Fineko/abc.az. Banks of two more friendly countries - Vietnam and Kazakhstan - have stopped accepting Mir cards. The reason for refusing to work with the Russian payment system is the fear of possible Western sanctions.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that Vietnamese bank BIDV no longer accepts cards of Russian payment system Mir.
The call center of the credit institution reported to Izvestia that BIDV continues to serve Visa, Mastercard, Western Union, JCB, UnionPay cards, but the Mir payment system is no longer on this list.
Kazakhstan's bank Halyk has also halted operations with Mir cards. They warned that Russian cards are not serviced either through terminals or ATMs.
