Morocco rapidly increases car production

November 25, Fineko/abc.az. The Moroccan automotive sector has set a new record for car exports this year.

ABC.AZ reports that Industry & Trade Minister of Morocco, Riad Mazur, said that this ensures the achievement of trade turnover of more than $9.4 bn by the end of 2022.

According to the minister, the main goals of the national automotive strategy are aimed, on the one hand, at achieving a production capacity of one million cars by 2025 instead of the current 700,000 cars.

The Italian-American multinational corporation for the production of Stellantis cars is working to increase production at the Peugeot plant to 250,000 additional cars.

Riad Mazur noted that 64% of auto parts are manufactured in Morocco, and by the end of this year this figure will be 69%.
