Minister: Share of SMEs in nonoil exports reached 59.8% by end of 2021

December 1, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, 99.6% of enterprises are subjects of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov made the relevant statement.

The minister said that by the end of 2021, the share of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in value added in the non-oil sector reached 27.5%, and the share in non-oil exports - 59.8% against 31.8% by the end of 2020.

"Last year, the turnover of businesses in this category amounted to about $20 bn, or 32% of the total business turnover and 56.5% of non-oil and gas GDP,” Jabbarov said.
