June 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Transport Agency (BNA) is going to tackle the problem of traffic jams by eliminating parking.

BNA spokesman Mais Agayev has stated that large-scale works will be carried out on the 11 main arterial highways of Baku, which constitute the main transport hub and connect 16 roads.

"Agency’s analysis showed that despite the parameters of those roads, there are still problems with free movement that is linked with illegal parking, some signs, as well as problems with traffic lights. We believe it is possible to get positive results by eliminating and banning parking lots, that will enable to provide free movement for motor vehicles," Agayev said.
