July 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Transport Agency (BNA) is taking appropriate measures aimed at preventing possible negative factors in the transport system due to problems with energy supply.

BNA reports that all efforts are aimed primarily at preventing problems with transportation of passengers.

"Because of problems with energy supply, metro station Avtovokzal (bus terminal) is not working. In this regard, the number of buses operating in this direction has been increased. With the purpose to prevent density of passengers, bus routes #142 and #91, which operate from the city of Sumgait and nearby areas to station Avtovokzal are moving to metro station Memar Ajemi. Bus routes #158 and #130 move to metro station “The 20th of January”," BNA said in a statement.

Measures are also taken to ensure normal traffic on the roads of the country's districts. Traffic lights and regulated road crossings have been taken under control. Work of traffic lights has been restored partially.

"We recommend drivers to be extremely careful and attentive, as some streets and avenues still do not have traffic lights," BNA says.

Last night one of the transformers of the Mingachevir hydropower plant was out of order, and as a result, the whole country was de-energized. The power supply has been partially restored.
