Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan completed Q2 of the year with profit

July 24, Fineko/abc.az. Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan released its second quarter 2018 financial results. As it is seen from the Bank's reports, the second quarter of the year ended with profit of AZN 1.401 million.

The Bank's capital also increased. Gross capital increased by 30% compared to the same period of the previous year. Thus, the total capital of Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan is AZN65.750 million, which is 31% more than required by the current legislation.

Over the past period, the Bank also increased its loan portfolio. The Bank, which lended 12% more loans compared to theprevious quarter, also closed its loan from other financial institutions. This means that the strong liquidity of the Bank allows it to lend loans.

Demand deposits of physical and legal entities make 77% of total deposits. This allows the Bank to keep its interest rates at the optimal level. And in its logical sequence, the interest rate of the Bank decreased by 43%, whereas the net interest income increased by 20% compared to the previous year.

A positive tendency was observed in capital adequacy ratio as well. The Bank raised its capital adequacy ratio from 14.9% to 24.8% This exceeds the local regulator's demand.

It is worth noting that Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan is a member of the banking group operating in 17 countries around the world. In Azerbaijan, the Bank, the main shareholder of which is UniCredit (Italy) and Koç Holding (Turkey), serves with branch offices in Baku and Sumgayit cities, 7/24 Call Center and Internet/Mobile Banking services, having international experience in banking sector.
