July 27, Fineko/abc.az. The total number of foreigners in the country, registered in the system of individual registration of the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection is 45 539 people, including 1 587 ones for Jan-Jun 2018.

The foreigners registered in the system of individual registration in Azerbaijan are citizens of 142 countries. Most of them are Turkish citizens-20 174 people. The second place in this list belongs to citizens of Georgia - 4 698 people and the third places to citizens of Russia – 2 927 people.

The process of coverage of compulsory state social insurance for foreigners, whose work is paid from sources in Azerbaijan and from income from which compulsory social insurance fees are paid, began since 1 January 2006. The individual accounting is organization and maintenance of accounting of information about each insured person to ensure pension and other social protection rights in accord with country’s legislation.
