September 7, Fineko/abc.az. A loan under governmental guarantee will be drawn for the Southern Gas Corridor.

At a media conference Finance Minister Samir Sharifov has stated that financing for the project is raised gradually.

"Currently, we are negotiating with some international financial institutions. But the concrete outcome is expected in 2019," the minister said.

Samir Sharifov also pointed out that loans under governmental guarantees are raised to finance the Southern Gas Corridor Project.

"The government assumes certain contingent obligations, which leads to an increase in foreign debt. However, Azerbaijan is gradually reducing its debt," the minister said.
