First waffle marking to appear on Baku roads

October 9, Fibeko/abc.az. The Baku Transport Agency (BNA) has made a decision to introduce another innovation aimed to prevent traffic jams.

BNA says that the innovation will be the application on roads with heavy traffic of bright grids of yellow diagonal lines, indicating the boundaries of the intersection, which cannot be crossed in case of congestion.

"The first project will be implemented at the intersection of Bakikhanov Street and Samed Vurgun Street. Currently, this is a pilot grid, and at the subsequent stage such "wafer markings" are to be installed on 74 more road intersections with heavy traffic," the Agency said in a statement.
