October 25, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev has received a delegation of the Chinese National Electric Engineering Corporation (CNEEC).

The Ministry of Economy informs that during the meeting it was stressed that Azerbaijan supports One Belt One Road (OBOR) Strategy.

"Mustafayev stated that Azerbaijan-China trade turnover increased by 20% last year and reached $848.9 million for Jan-Sept of the current year. About 50% of China’s trade turnover with the countries of the South Caucasus accounts for Azerbaijan. More than 100 Chinese companies are operating in Azerbaijan, and CNEEC also has experience of work here," the MoE said in a statement.

In turn, CNEEC vice president Zheng Chengjun said that their Company is interested in production of tires in Azerbaijan and held a presentation of the project, which CNEEC intends to implement in the country.

Following the meeting, Azerbaijan Investment Company and CNEEC signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
