December 18, Fineko/abc.az. Rector of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Elmar Gasimov held a meeting with General Manager of SOCAR Foster Wheeler Engineering LLC (SOCAR-FW) Elmaddin Dadashov and SOCAR-FW’s First Deputy General Manager Mario Castellano. Welcoming the guests, the BHOS Rector said that SOCAR-FW exemplifies a dream job place for many Higher School’s students. Speaking about the BHOS latest developments, he told that cooperation with leading companies of the industry is a priority for the administration and expressed interest in further strengthening partnership with SOCAR-FW.
General Manager of SOCAR-FW Elmaddin Dadashov informed Rector Elmar Gasimov about the company main activities. In his words, the management pays special attention to developing relations with national universities and implementing internship and on-the-job training programs for students. First Deputy General Manager Mario Castellano emphasized that SOCAR-FW is particularly interested in hiring young chemical engineers and process automation engineers.
At the meeting, the participants discussed opportunities of employment at SOCAR-FW for the BHOS graduates. It was agreed that the company representatives would conduct a presentation for the Higher School undergraduates. It was also decided that after signing a memorandum, SOCAR-FW Human Resources department would invite the BHOS fifth-year students selected through a competition to participate in the company internship program. The most successful interns will be offered a job at SOCAR-FW after the graduation.
