January 15, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on establishment of OJSC Azersilah (AzerWeapons).

Under the decree, Azersilah is created on the basis of the Ministry of Defence Industry.

Azersilah will be a commercial legal entity to be engaged in production, export and sale of weapons in and out of the country through introduction of advanced technologies. The newly-established company will coordinate on the basis of modern management the enterprises under its authority and solve other questions relating to development of this sphere. The Board will deal with general management and control of activity of Azersilah.

The chairman of board and his two deputies will be appointed and dismissed by the country’s president.
