Azerbaijani population bought foods and nonfoods for AZN 37.1 bn in 2018

January 16, Fineko/abc.az. Cost of goods sold at retail outlets of Azerbaijan in 2018 increased by 3% up to AZN 37.1 bn.

The State Statistics Committee reports that AZN 18.6 bn of trade turnover accounted for foods, alcohol, and tobacco products and AZN 18.5 bn for non-foods.

"This figure is by 2.5% and 3.4% more than in 2017 in real terms," the Committee informed.

The SSC also reported that turnover of retail sales points per capita increased by 12.9 manats up to 314.8 manats versus 2017. On average, every citizen buys foods for AZN 158.2 and non-foods for AZN 156.6.
