January 22, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan plans to simplify further the registration of legal entities.

Tax Ministry Department of State Registration & Accounting Control’s general director Alakbar Mammadov has stated that according to Doing Business 2019 rating, the country has risen from 18-1 up to the 9th stage.

"The process of simplification is to continue. Currently registration of a legal entity requires three procedures, cost of which is 18 manats, and we intend to reduce the number of those procedures to one. Registration of a legal entity will be carried out on FIN-code, without improved signature Asan Imza or e-signature. The process will take 20 minutes," Mammadov said.

As of 1 January 2019 Azerbaijan numbered 970,340 taxpayers, including 125,144 legal entities and 845,196 individuals. Last year the country registered 11,000 commercial legal entities, and 70% of them in e-form.
