February 21, Fineko/abc.az. Crude oil tanker ‘Lachin’ has been launched for the next stage of construction. The ceremony was attended by Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev, State Maritime Agency’s director Gudrat Gurbanov and Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company’s chair Rauf Veliyev.

During the ceremony it was noted that the construction of the tanker hull was fully completed. That means 860,000 working hours. The remaining construction and installation works will be continued at the berth of the shipyard. For this purpose, the oil tanker was launched from the construction site of the shipyard by hydraulic drives through a floating dock. Marine operational tests will begin after the full completion of the vessel construction. Acceptance of the tanker is scheduled for June.
