Repair and restoration of Nizami metro station in Baku ended

The Baku Metro completed repairs and restoration of metro station Nizami.

BM informs that the station was under restoration in stages and the repairs lasted about a year.

"We repaired the station at our own expense and during the restoration we preserved national architectural samples of the station, named after famous poet Nizami Ganjevi," the underground spokesman said.

The station was commissioned on 31 December 1976. Service life of escalators operated at the station will expire in 2025 and therefore their upgrade and overhaul of the lobby of the station is scheduled for that period.
