May 24, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev took part in the iftar ceremony on Thursday, given on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan by Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Department.

The iftar ceremony began with a recitation of the verses of the Quran and a prayer related to the month of Ramadan.

In his speech Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade thanked President Aliyev for his participation in the iftar ceremony.

Head of the Baku and Caspian Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church Alexander, Chairman of the Baku Religious Community of Mountain Jews Milikh Yevdayev and resident of the Roman Catholic Church Vladimir Fekete delivered speech at the ceremony.

President Aliyev made a speech at the ceremony.

Then iftar was given.
