May 29, Fineko/abc.az. Today, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with senior vice president for international intelligence at Equinor Tore Loset.

During the meeting Mr. Loset informed about the measures taken in the field of renewable energy as a new area of cooperation with Equinor along with oil and gas projects.

Minister Shahbazov also told about development of renewable energy in the country and the measures taken to stimulate investments in this area.

The Bill on the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in the Generation of Electricity drafted by an international consulting company has been submitted to the Ministry of Energy for preliminary draft regulation on the connection of a model agreement on the purchase of energy and renewable energy sources to the electric network. Discussions on those documents are underway.
