May 31, Fineko/abc.az. The ceremony of opening of memorial plaques dedicated to the memory of Polish architects has been conducted in Baku today.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Polish President Andrzej Duda took part in the ceremony.

One of the streets in the historical district of Baku has been named "Polish Architects" with the purpose to perpetuate the names of Polish architects. The names of Polish architects are carved on one of the buildings - Józef Gosławski, Kazimierz Skórewicz, Józef Brodski and Eugeniusz Skibiński, and several bas-reliefs with their image. The author of the memorial plaques is Azerbaijani honored architect Elbay Gasimzade.
