June 27, Fineko/abc.az. The 1st Assembly of the Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan is taking place in Baku.

Florian Zengtshmid, chief executive director of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, has stated that the current formed situation in the region should be used to attract tourists to the country from Russia and Iran.

"Azerbaijan is able to receive more Russian tourists. We have all possibilities to receive them," Mr. Zengtshmid.

He pointed out that the Bureau will render all possible support to activity of the Association of Travel Agencies.

"We are going to solve several tasks, namely, not only to increase the tourist flow into the country but also to improve the quality of tourist services," Mr. Zengtshmid emphasized.
