July 22, Fineko/abc.az. Analytical agency Turstat has presented the rating of mountain resorts in Russia and CIS countries for outdoor activities and trekking in the summer.

Turstat’s staudy shows that Top 10 of spas and places popular for active summer holiday in the mountains in Russia and the CIS countries includes Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, Shymbulak in Almaty in Kazakhstan, Crimean mountains in Crimea, the Shahdag resort in Azerbaijan, Dombay in Karachay-Cherkessia, Katun ridge in the Altai mountains, Elbrus in Kabardino-Balkaria, Sheregesh in Kemerovo Oblast, Khibiny mountains in Murmansk Oblast and Karakol in Kyrgyzstan.

The rating of mountain resorts is based on the analysis of popularity, infrastructure development and transport accessibility.
