July 29, Fineko/abc.az. Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov has been awarded the French order of the Legion of Honor of the Officer degree by the decree of the President of the French Republic, reported the Cabinet Ministers’ press-service.

The order was handed over to the PM on behalf of the French government by Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of Economy & Finance of France, who is on a visit to Baku. Novruz Mammadov, a professional researcher of the French language and literature, was awarded this highest award for his contribution to the Azerbaijani-French cooperation.

In his turn, PM Mammadov expressed gratitude to the French state and the French people for the high award.

Order ‘Legion of Honor’ was established by Napoleon Bonaparte on 19 May 1802.
