Operations in non-cash currency market reach $12.1 bn for 1st half of 2019

August 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jun 2019 the ratio of supply and demand in the foreign exchange market and the exchange rate of the manat to foreign currencies were formed in accordance with the trends in the balance of payments, says the the review of Central Bank’s monetary policy for the first half-year of 2019.

According to the review, the dynamics of foreign economic operations of economic entities has become the main factor determining the volume of operations in the foreign exchange market in the current year.

The operations in the non-cash foreign exchange market in the 1st half of the year amounted to $12.1 bn.

During this period 81.4% of transactions in the non-cash currency market were made in US dollars and 18.6% in other currencies. 34.4% of non-cash currency transactions were carried out on the interbank currency market and 65.6% on the internal currency market.
