Why do foreign currencies disappear from banks` currency exchange points?

15:17 - 9.09.2019

September 9, Fineko/abc.az. As you know, Azerbaijan accounts for 30 banks.

Most of them are private, and some are branches of foreign banks in Azerbaijan.

Abc.az reports that despite the fact that all 30 banks have exchange offices, they do not change the currency in all. Sometimes these banks do not have either dollars or euros.

Studies conducted today on bank websites have shown that most banks sell dollars and euros, but many do not have the British pound, Russian ruble and Turkish lira.

And at the currency exchange points of the Baku branch of the Pakistan National Bank, euros are not sold. This situation changes depending on the day of the week. That is, sometimes in the banks of Azerbaijan, the euro and the dollar disappear like Russian rubles, Turkish lira. Although so far we are not talking about the specific causes of the problem, some experts attribute this to frequent fluctuations in the prices of the purchase and sale of foreign currencies.
