December 24, Fineko/abc.az. Russia's payment system Mir may be introduced in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin at a meeting with president Ilham Aliyev.

He noted that in Russia there is a payment system called Mir, which is already used in the Turkish markets: "It is very convenient for Russian tourists who come here. You’ve set to us a task of developing tourist exchanges. We strive for the millionth figure. Indeed, how much easier and more convenient it will be for tourists to come and travel between our countries, the greater the tourist flow will be. My colleagues and I agreed to work on this issue to see how the system is applicable here in Azerbaijan. Therefore, we’re ready to continue work actively," Oreshkin emphasized.
