January 14, Fineko/abc.az. State Budget revenues for 2019 were fulfilled for AZN 24.2 bn against the forecast of AZN 23.168 bn (by AZN 1.32 bn or 4.5% more compared with the forecast).

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned statement was made by Finance Minister Samir Sharifov on 13 January at a meeting devoted to the results of 2019 and chaired by President Ilham Aliyev.

He noted that this data is operational in nature, but shows general trends.

The minister noted that implementation of State Budget expenditures was fulfilled at the level of AZN 24.405 bn or 97% against the forecast of AZN 25.19 bn.

According to the minister, the budget deficit in 2019 amounted to only AZN 205 million: "This means that the budget deficit forecast of AZN 2.22 bn approved in 2018 was less by about 10% when the budget for 2019 was adopted. The significant reduction in the State Budget deficit is linked primarily with the fact that fiscal authorities - both tax and customs authorities - exceeded the forecasts on budget revenues. On the other hand, savings were obtained on some items of expenditures of the State Budget. First of all, I’d like to mention the transfer to the Social Insurance Fund."
