February 19, Fineko/abc.az. The number of POS terminals installed in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been increased up to 1,278 in the city of Nakhchivan and 703 in district and rural centers of the autonomy.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Central Bank's NAR Office, for Jan-Dec 2019 the volume of non-cash transactions through POS terminals and other payment means reached AZN 45.55 million.

As a result, compared with 2018, the growth made AZN 10.457 million.

AZN 14.717 million of non-cash payments were carried out via POS-terminals and AZN 30.8 million via the Internet and other means of payment.

As of 31 December 2019 the deposits of individuals at banks operating in the NAR totaled AZN 9.789 million, including AZN 8.8 million in the national currency and AZN 956,000 in foreign currency.
