EU allocated EUR 75,000 for a Global hackathon competition in connection with fight against coronavirus

April 10, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union and the EU 4 digital initiative will support a global hackathon aimed at creating and sharing ideas for finding emergency solutions to the coronavirus pandemic.

ABC.AZ reports that the Global hackathon to run until 12 April will bring together technology experts and stakeholders from around the world, including Eastern Partnership countries, scientists, business leaders, project managers, marketing experts, designers and innovators. The competition is organized by innovative and research platforms such as Accelerate Estonia, Garage48 and Guaana with the support of the online hackathon Devpost.

The European Commission has allocated EUR 75,000 for awarding the winning teams of the global hackathon. The total prize fund of the best ideas is EUR 100,000.
