May 1, Fineko/abc.az. The Operational Headquarters has extended the term of the special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan until 31 May.

ABC.AZ reports that some quarantine easing measures will be taken however.

Thus, the system of permission to leave the place of residence by sending SMS message and registration on the icaze.e-gov.az portal, based on an official certificate or a certificate of employment, is canceled in other districts of Azerbaijan and in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from 00:00 hours on 4 May 2020, with the exception of the cities of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron district;

DOST centers resume their activities in the areas of targeted state social assistance and the provision of bank cards in the social sphere in the territories they serve;

activity of state institutions in full staff is being restored;

in restaurants, cafes and tea houses, services are restored to customers on the spot (except for the use of hookah equipment at public catering facilities);

restrictions on access to boulevards, parks, and recreation areas are lifted;

inter-district and intercity services are resumed in these districts (with the exception of public transport services for passengers);

the activity of legal entities and individuals that provide work and services to other business entities in various fields of activity that were subject to restrictions during the special quarantine regime is resumed;

the activity of individual retail facilities in all spheres is resumed;

the activity of hairdressers, beauty salons and cosmetic services is resumed;

Within the special quarantine regime it is prohibited the concentration of people in public places, on boulevards and in parks, as well as in public catering places in groups of more than 10 people throughout the country.
