Iranian currency falls steadily – toman has fallen by 50% since early 2020

June 24, Fineko/abc.az. The national currency is continuously losing value to the US dollar in Iran.

ABC.AZ reports that last day in Iran one dollar was exchanged for 20,000 tomans, which is the lowest value of the national currency to the dollar in the history of the country.

For comparison, 1 US dollar rose from 4,000 up to 6,100 tomans in Iran in April 2018.

Since the beginning of the year the currency of Iran has lost 50% of its value to the US dollar.
