Azerbaijan’s head met with OPEC Secretary General in Davos

January 23, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporter Countries (OPEC) Mohammad Barkindo in Davos.

During the meeting Mr. Barkindo stated with OPEC appreciates Azerbaijan’s active leadership role in the meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC countries and production, and adoption, in this regard, of a historic decision in December 2016.

President Aliyev expressed confidence that Azerbaijan will continue cooperating with OPEC and invited Mr. Barkindo to pay a visit to Azerbaijan. The OPEC Secretary General gratefully accepted the invitation.
