August 5, Fineko/abc.az. BP will no longer be a company focused only on the oil and gas sector.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned statement was made by BP's vice president for external relations & communications in the Middle East and the Caspian region Bakhtiar Aslanbeyli in an interview for AzerTAj.

He noted that BP will become an integrated energy company with diversified portfolio – thus, oil and gas will become part of a more balanced portfolio: "We intend to diversify the direction of our company's activities with various forms of energy – renewable energy, bioenergy and hydrogen.

But oil and gas will continue to be the main industry for BP in the countries where we have obligations. As part of this commitment, we are going to invest about $9 bn in our oil and gas business globally in 2030."
