Monetary base in manats has grown despite the pandemic – an interesting indicator

September 18, Fineko/abc.az. In the 4th quarter of this year Azerbaijan is expected to significantly accelerate the growth of the monetary base in connection with government spending at the expense of the treasury, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.

As of 31 August of this year the monetary base in manats in Azerbaijan was AZN 11.907 bn (by AZN 230.6 million or 2% more than in July).

The composition of the monetary base consists of cash and bank reserves in circulation.
