October 1, Fineko/abc.az. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has disseminated a statement about the injuries of two journalists of French newspaper Le Monde.

ABC.AZ reports that the Azerbaijani MFA reminded that on 27 September 2020 the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry officially stated that the Azerbaijani army does not target the civilian population and objects and, unlike the occupying Armenia, complies with the requirements of international humanitarian law, including the Geneva conventions, during military operations.

"The case with foreign journalists clearly shows that the Armenian government ignored its obligations on ensuring the safety of journalists and uses them for its propaganda purposes. Therefore, we appeal to foreign journalists to seek the consent of the Azerbaijani side in connection with the visit to the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent regions of Azerbaijan," the MFA said in the statement.
