Samir Hajiyev has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer of the newly established Caspian Asian Club, First Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian European Club Telman Aliyev said.

According to Telman Aliyev, for the past two years Mr Hajiyev successfully headed the Legal Committee at the Caspian European Club.

Samir Hadjiyev received his Bachelor degree in Law from Tefekkur University in 2000,n 2003 he received the Certificate from the Chartered Insurers Institute of London, and in 2006 he got the Master’s degree in International Law and Legal Studies from the Baku State University. During his professional career Mr Hajiyev held managerial positions in various insurance companies and international law firms and currently, is holding a position of the director and head of Legal Practice at PwC Azerbaijan.  Samir Hajiyev is married and has two children.

Samir Hajiyev thanked the leadership of the Caspian European Club for trusting him with this role and said he was looking forward to this new opportunity.

The Caspian European Club was established in June 2002 with the support of the largest oil and gas companies working in the Caspian-Black Sea region. His Excellency President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is the Chairman of the Caspian European Club.

Since the very establishment the Caspian European Club has promoted attraction of revenues from the oil industry towards the development of the non-oil sector.
