Customs Committee’s chair clarifies issue of claims related to customs duties

March 4, Fineko/abc.az. Some experts link the increase in customs duties with the devaluation, ABC.AZ reports citing State Customs Committee’s chairman Safar Mehdiyev as saying this at today’s press conference.

He noted that work is underway over the improvement of the results.

"What are they checking? Please let them come and check it out. We work in compliance with laws. We have shown which products are exempt from import. How can you arbitrarily deduct 8%?! If they don't know addition and subtraction, let them look at our differential percentages," Mehdiyev said.
