July 8, Fineko/abc.az. An online meeting has been held between the leadership of the State Customs Committee and the members of the Caspian Energy Club.

ABC.AZ reports that at the meeting, Committee’s first deputy chairman Ismayil Huseynov noted that this year it is expected to adopt a new Customs Code as continuation of the reforms carried out in the customs.

The deputy chair noted that the expansion of measures to combat the shadow economy, the formation of digital customs system, and the improvement of the tariff nomenclature will also be continued.

On the other hand, the implementation of projects for the construction and reconstruction of new customs border checkpoints, the acquisition and installation of modern technical controls, the introduction of innovative technologies, and support for small and medium-sized businesses will continue.
