President: Many IDPs wanted to return to their native lands

October 5, Fineko/abc.az. "The return to Jojug Marjanli was the beginning of a Great Return."

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev made this statement during his visit to Jabrayil.

"At that, I told State Committee for Refugees’s chair Ali Hasanov that there was an idea to return the residents of Jojug Marjanli to their village. Then there lived one family – the family of Oktay Khaziev. I instructed them to find out if they want to return, because a lot of time has passed, and some live and work in Bilasuvar, some in Baku. After a while, Ali muallim informed me that almost everyone wanted to return. This made me very happy, because at that time there were various opinions that after the liberation of the lands, IDPs might not return, because many of them, their children and grandchildren had not seen these places. But these words once again showed how great our people are.”
