March 3, Fineko/abc.az. Six of the 26 banks operating in Azerbaijan paid in 2021 the profit tax more than in the previous year.

ABC.AZ reports that among them are: Rabitabank, Zıraat Bank Azerbaijan, AFB Bank, Bank of Baku, Premium Bank, and PASHA Bank. The highest dynamics was recorded on Rabitabank (7.4-fold) and the lowest figure on PASHA Bank (13.9%).

Profit tax payments by 11 banks decreased last year. Among them are: Turan Bank, International Bank of Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan Bank, Azer-Turk Bank, Kapital Bank, Xalq Bank, Bank Avrasiya, Azerbaijan Industrial Bank, and Unibank, Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan and the Baku branch of the National Bank of Iran. The largest decrease was recorded on Unibank (100%) and the smallest on Turan Bank (2.3%).

One bank, Express Bank, paid profit tax in 2020, but saved on tax payments in 2021. The remaining 8 banks did not pay income tax both last year and in the previous year. Therefore, it was not possible to calculate the dynamics of tax payments of these banks.
