Azerbaijan does not use cryptocurrency to ensure cybersecurity

May 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is in no hurry with use of cryptocurrency in the country.

Central Bank’s deputy chair Alim Guliyev has stated that the bank adheres to conservative approach and studies risks.

"Different opinions sound lately about cryptocurrencies. Some countries have conservative approach towards them. And in some leading countries there is no clear approach to cryptocurrencies, and the process of forming digital money as a commodity has not completed fully. The issue of cybersecurity should remain in the spotlight," Guliyev said.
