ABB's deposit portfolio grew by 10.4% in 1st half-year

July 25, Fineko/abc.az. The deposit portfolio of ABB increased by AZN 858.817 million, or by 10.4%, up to AZN 9.12 bn, including deposits of individuals by AZN 406.528 million up to AZN 1.689 bn, deposits of legal entities by AZN 452.289 million up to AZN 7.4 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the decision of the General Meeting of Shareholders of ABB on 30 June 2022, dividends were paid to ABB shareholders in the amount of AZN 125 million from the bank's profit in 2021. AZN 120.8 million of dividends were paid from the State Budget.

The problem of a short open currency position ($235 million), which arose as a result of the bank's restructuring process, was also completely eliminated at the expense of foreign currency funds received from the Central Bank.

Thus, the Bank fulfilled all prudential standards of the Central Bank. As of June 30, 2022, ABB has total capital of AZN 1.34 bn.

The bank's Grade 1 capital adequacy ratio was 18.28%, and the total capital adequacy ratio was 19.27%.
