July 26, Fineko/abc.az. The number of overnight stays in hotels and hotel-type facilities in Azerbaijan in the 1st half of this year increased by 47.8% (against Jan-Jun 2021) up 1,027.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 55.1% of overnight stays accounted for hotels in Baku, 6.8% in Guba, 6.8% in Gabala, 5.5% in Gusar, 5.5% in Shabran, 3.3% in Lankaran, 3.0% in Naftalan, 2.2% in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1.3% in Khachmaz, 1.1% in Shemakha, 0.9% in Shusha, and 8.5% in other cities and districts.

Compared with 2021, the rate of overnight stays spent by foreigners and stateless persons in hotels increased 3.8-fold up to 503,500 (49% of the total number of overnight stays).
