July 26, Fineko/abc.az. The number of overnight stays in hotels in the country has increased.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee that out of the total number of foreign tourists, citizens of Saudi Arabia made up 11.9%, UAE - 11.5%, Turkey - 11.5%, Russia - 10.7%, Great Britain - 4.4%, Kuwait - 3.9%, Israel - 2.6%, India - 3.5%, USA - 3%, Pakistan - 1.9%, Kazakhstan - 1.9%, Germany - 1.7%, Georgia - 1.4%, Italy - 1.5%, Qatar - 1.4%, Iran - 1.2%, Uzbekistan - 0.9%, Netherlands - 0.8%, Ukraine - 0.7%, France - 0.6%, other countries - 21.8%.

At that, foreigners and stateless persons spent 79.9% of overnight stays in Baku, in Gabala - 6.2%, in Gusar - 4.5%, in Guba -3.1%, in Naftalan - 2.3%, in Shabran - 1.1%, in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - 0.7%, in other cities and regions - 2.2%.

At that, the number of overnight stays of Azerbaijani citizens in hotels reached 523,500 (a rise of 6.9%), which is 51% of the total number of overnight stays.
