July 26, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union has extended sanctions against Russia due to the fighting in Ukraine until 31 January 2023.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to EU Council’s statement.
"Today, the EU Council decided to extend the restrictive measures that are currently in effect for certain sectors of the Russian economy for 6 months, until 31 January 2023," the document says.
The EU's economic sanctions, which have been in force for more than seven years, are directed against the financial, energy and defense sectors in the Russian Federation.
