Caspian Energy Forum Nakhchivan-2018 to be held

Registration of delegates for the 6th International Caspian Energy Forum Nakhchivan – 2018 to be held on June 14, 2018 in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been started. Caspian Energy Forum Nakhchivan - 2018 is timed to coincide with announcing Nakhchivan as the Capital of Islamic Culture - 2018. The Forum coincides with the 25th anniversary of returning of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev to power and rescuing the Republic of Azerbaijan from the civil war, First Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian European Club Telman Aliyev said.

Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov, Members of the Government representing the economic block of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as companies operating in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Members of the Board of the Caspian European Club will attend the opening ceremony, Telman Aliyev said.

The key topic of Caspian Energy Forum Nakhchivan - 2018 will be the topic entitled “Open Markets: Long-Term Development Prospects”.

Official support to the 6th International Caspian Energy Forum Nakhchivan - 2018 is provided by the Government of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Caspian European Club.

Caspian Energy Forum Nakhchivan - 2018 shall be attended only by the member companies of the Caspian European Club and their partners who are interested in setting up new companies and investing into the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

According to Telman Aliyev, “the Caspian Energy Forum is held a few times a year in the countries of the Caspian-Black Sea and Baltic regions, and serves as a traditional platform creating favorable conditions to speed up a business-to-government dialogue, establish a close contact between the companies of the oil and non-oil sectors, arrange meetings between the transnational companies and small and medium business representatives, as well as investors, experts and analysts interested in global cooperation between businessmen.

Apart from this, the event program provides extra opportunities for attendees to work and communicate during coffee-breaks and a business lunch”.

The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic became a leader of the annual investment rating of the economic regions of Azerbaijan, compiled by the Caspian Energy International Media Group. The rating presented the results of the economic reforms and social policy of the regions implemented in the country under the leadership of His Excellency Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the Caspian European Club. The regions are ranked by 18 parameters divided into 6 groups: social-demographic profile, social-economic status, business climate, infrastructure, feel-good factor and agriculture.

The Caspian European Club, which brings together more than 5,000 member companies and organizations from 70 countries around the world, was established in June 2002 with the support of the largest oil and gas companies working in the Caspian-Black Sea region and with the active involvement of the Caspian Energy International Media Group. The Caspian American Club (established on 24 December 2016) and Caspian Asian Club (26 January 2018) will be managed by the Members of the Board of the Caspian European Club for 2 years. All companies that join the Caspian European Club as members get an automatic membership within the Caspian American Club, Caspian Asian Club and vice-versa. 

His Excellency President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is the Chairman of the Caspian European Club.
