Agriculture Minister: Grain crops destroyed on territory of 100,000 hectares in Azerbaijan


July 29, Fineko/ Due to the severe drought observed in Azerbaijan for Jan-Feb of this year, grain crops were destroyed on an area of about 100,000 hectares, ABC.AZ reports, citing Agriculture Minister Inam Kerimov as saying this for Real TV.

He said the same thing happened in 2020, and a drought is also expected in the future.

Grain harvesting is currently underway in the country, grain was sown on an area of more than 1 million hectares for the current year's harvest, of which about 600,000 hectares are wheat crops, and about 400,000 hectares are barley crops.
