August 1, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 July 2022, the number of individual entrepreneurs registered to carry out entrepreneurial activities without forming a legal entity exceeded 1.193 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that three out of four individual entrepreneurs were registered in spheres “agriculture, forestry & fishing”, “trade; repair of vehicles”, “transport & warehousing” and “provision of services in other areas”.

The majority of individual entrepreneurs planning to engage in entrepreneurship are registered in Baku (28%), in the economic regions of Lankaran-Astara (10%), Gazakh-Tovuz (7.6%) and Central Aran (6.9%).

78.3% of individual entrepreneurs were men and 21.7% were women.
