Hyundai Motor buys Korean autonomous driving startup 42dot


August 2, Fineko/ South Korean car giant Hyundai Motor Company is buying the 42dot autonomous driving mobility platform, 42% of which it owns.

Founded in 2019, 42dot develops software for autonomous vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles and robotic processes.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that the purchase is shown as part of the South Korean automaker's $79 bn investment plan by 2030 for enterprises related to autonomous driving software technologies and electric vehicles.

Hyundai Motor, which plans to own 7% of the global electric vehicle market by 2030, has allocated $9.2 bn to invest in autonomous driving software.
