To date, 3.87 bn barrels of crude oil transported via BTC pipeline


August 4, Fineko/ In the 1st half of 2022, about $49 million was spent on operating expenses on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, and $9 million on capital expenditures, ABC.AZ informs with reference to BP’s report.

On 23 March, BTC marked the shipment of the 5,000th tanker with export oil from the Sangachal terminal through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to the Ceyhan terminal.

To date, a total of more than 516 million tons of crude oil (3.87 bn barrels) have been transported via the BTC pipeline, which was loaded onto 5,087 tankers in Ceyhan and shipped to world markets.

During the first six months, about 14.1 million tons (about 107 million barrels) of crude oil and condensate exported via BTC were loaded and shipped to 148 tankers at the Ceyhan Terminal.
